Personal injury claims

General damages for personal injuries in Malaysia are traditionally assessed under four heads, where they apply: pain and suffering and loss of amenity; loss of future earnings; loss of earning capacity; and future care expenses.

A claim of this kind must be filed within six years from the time of the accident.
